About the Camp

Re-Creation is a week-long camp, serving people with developmental disabilities. During this week campers are paired up with a volunteer counselor and take part in an amazing and fun experience. Campers and counselors alike grow socially, spiritually, and mentally. Our goal is to give as much attention as possible to our campers through the week of camp.

The Campers attend different classes throughout the day, Arts and Crafts, Games, Music, Swimming and Journal. At night Campers are provided with different sorts of live entertainment as well as a dance. To say the least by the end of the whole thing the campers have had a wonderful time and the counselors have learned a deeper meaning of responsibility.

GOAL of Camp Recreation: To provide an integrated spiritual and recreational experience for adults with developmental disabilities in a week long residential camp setting while utilizing the youth of the community as counselors on a one on one basis.

To provide a week of spiritual enrichment and a safe and integrated community for adults with developmental disabilities to enjoy.

To provide a week of respite for the families of the disabled camper.

To provide leadership opportunities for young adults in the community.
