Most of the pilgrims at St. Peter's Square on their first day in Rome. From left: Jolene, Sylvia, Carla, Mary Kay, Sr. Bernadette, Mary, Theresa, Fr. Vincent, Robin, Florlyn, Therese, Dina, Cynthia, and Ray.

There were so many highlights for me on this pilgrimage. I had been to Europe before, but not in this context. I had never been to the Catacombs or under St. Peters. I had never been to Lourdes. I had never had someone say the Mass for me everyday in a different location. (Thank you Father Vincent!) So many beautiful places with such stories and history that I was having difficulty grasping it in its depth. I didn't want to do much of anything but pray and worship and try to let it sink in. I will try to express the feelings but somehow I don't think there are adequate words.
