Some Kind things
people are saying...
We want to thank you for your generous
way of allowing us to "travel" with Kerry and the other
pilgrims. It certainly made her trip more meaningful to us. We
felt like we were somewhat there with you all. It also enticed
us into thinking about making our own travel plans to enjoy all
of what you showed us and helped us to understand the potential
benefits of seeing our church from that perspective, the incredible
context and setting.
We appreciate all your time and effort. God Bless You!

Everyday I think of you and keep
you all in my prayers....I'm glad that everyone knows that they
are before God in prayer. I know that you are all receiving an
abundance of graces since we are preparing for the Holy Year!
God is so good to you and you are so wise and blessed to travel
so much and to so many holy places! God Bless you dear friend
and keep you safe...In His Heart.
Isn't it just amazing that we can
communicate around the world like this....I just can't get over
it and had to tell you.....!!!! keep in touch it is so much fun
to hear from you...where are you now?
Sister Sharon
Just wanted to say I've been enjoying
the trip with you, but without lugging around all that luggage,
cameras, etc.
Have fun!
Kathy
You've given me a tremendous assist
maybe without realizing it, and you get a big thank you from
me right now. Among my worries for next trip, I was wondering
about photography restrictions in the Grotte Vaticane, and short
of information from a traveller who's been there, there's nowhere
online to get that from. You've saved me an extra trip to St.
Peter's just to inquire about photography. I was sort of planning
on having a good enough camera next time that I won't need flash;
you've pretty much sealed it. (I have read most of the scholarly
literature back and forth on the bones of St. Peter and I am
firmly convinced that that's indeed him. I should add that I
am not Catholic, so would have no particular reason to believe
it - or not. Margherita Guarducci, the woman who did the detective
work, and to whom we owe the repatriation of the saint's bones
from a cardboard box in a sacristy where they spent 30 years,
a great scholar, just died a few months ago. I warmly recommend
either her books, at least one of which has been translated into
English; or the popular version of the story, I believe called
"The Bones of St. Peter" or some such thing, by a man
with the unlikely but memorable name of John Evangelist Walsh.
It's thrilling reading and fascinating serious archeology. It's
fashionable in this age with its unpleasant little agendas, to
say that all these old legends are nonsense cooked up by priests:
some are, of course; but most are not, and there is more nonsense
being cooked up in our own century, I think, than in any previous
century.)

Yeah, your pictures and website
are great. I'll show you mine someday :) Have a good trip!

Dear Pilgrims,
It was with great joy that I reveiwed the photos of your trip.
Nice job on the website, Mike! Please keep Fr. Vincent in line
for the rest of the pilgrimage. I hope he's not giving you attitude...
Remember those you have left behind when you visit all these
holy spots. Keep us close in prayer, as we continue to do for
you.

Based on the web site photos, it's
looks as though you are all having a wonderful time! I've been
praying for you at daily mass for your spiritual growth, enjoyment,
and safety on your trip. I am happy for all of you, though I
am very sorry to be sitting in my office rather than being with
you. I tried very hard to be with you, but I was not successful
in getting a ticket to join you. It must be God's will that I
would be here rather than with you, because it certainly was
not my will. Please keep me in prayer. You are in my prayers
daily.
I love receiving the emails and
web site photos. It's not as good as being there, but I'm so
happy to see what a great time all of you are having. I especially
miss the opportunity to have the audience
with Pope John Paul II. I am so glad that he was healthly
enough for the audience. Just to be in his presence must have
been exciting. You have now experienced something that most people
in the world will never do.
In Christ's Love,
Kathleen
Buongiorno! (Sp?)
Mike, I've had a wonderful experience
taking your "cyber pilgrimmage" thanks to your mobileweb
coverage. While on your digi photo tour, I felt the prescence
of the Lord with you all and what it must have meant to be in
such holy places. To say the least, I'm sure it has been very
exciting for everyone.
I also love the general travel
log photos of you all sightseeing from place to place. I have
spent some time in Venice, Milan, and in the North Eastern Italian
Alps, but never have had an opportunity to venture down south
near Rome.
Please say hi to everyone, especially
"Rocking Robyn", "Riverrat Angela", Mary
Kay, the "Go Girl Mountain Woman", Therese, Theresa,
Ray the "Guitar Man" FloraLynn (Let her know, yes I'll
be there to help out with the teens again at SCRC) and if course
your spritual tour director and your personal gatekeeper to the
Vatican, Fr. Vincent.
Oh bye the way. I hope you've had
a chance to sample some fruit grappa.... remember, as they say
in Mexico.... just don't eat the worm!
Looking forward to hearing all
the stories, testimonials, and miracles upon your return. I send
my prayers to you all for a safe journey back home....PS, Let
Father Vincent know that he can count on me for his next pilgrimmage.
God Bless!
Jeff
To all the CCF'ers and to Fr. Vincent,
a most gracious hello from humble Orange County! Had it been
in God's plan (and my budget) I'd be with you right now! Alas,
this is not the year for me to join you. So please, consider
another pilgrimage in the future so that those of us not able
to join you in person this July, may do so in perhaps next year.
May God be with you and bestow His many blessings upon you throughout
your time spent on holy ground and and ever after.
In His love,
Cathleen.
The website is fabulous! Nice job!
I guess you have a digital camera to be able to update so quickly.
How are you liking the food? I ate a lot of yogurt and bread
when I traveled. No matter what country you're in, the yogurt
comes in the same kind of container, and bread is always bread!
Your pictures are great. They bring
back a lot of memories for me from Rome. You seem to be covering
a lot of ground in a short amount of time. It's amazing how much
you can see and do in Europe. Everything is so close together
compared to the US.
Well, have fun! God Bless!
:) Tina
The pictures are
great (keep them coming)! What an experience for all of you!
I have travelled to Europe a few times, but I've never been on
a spiritual trip. Your pilgrimage is inspiring me!
Hope everyone is truly enjoying
it!

My favorite picture is the one
of Mass in the New York airport.
How beautiful to take a mundane, everyday place and turn it into
a place where God is glorified. Thanks for sponsoring a web page
so the rest of us can share in the experience and see what we
missed. It must have been an awesome pilgrimage, especially with
Fr. Vincent along to offer Mass and show you around Rome.
Someday I hope to visit Rome- I
feel like a part of my heart is already there! (Kind of like
San Francisco, except no one's ever written a song about it.)
